Clickbank has a default Clickbank payment threshold set to $100.00. However you can change this threshold to be as low as $10.00 but each time a payment is processed by Clickbank, a processing fee of $2.50 is deducted from the amount due to you. Payment is sent every two weeks and you need to have three sales before you can opt for a direct deposit which allows you to receive payment every week.

If you are a newbie who has made five or less sales, please understand the next criteria carefully so as not to lose your hard earned Clickbank payment.

Important Conditions for a Clickbank payment for a newbie

If you have the time, feel free to check out Clickbank’s Accounting Policy which is in accordance with the US’s Customer Distribution Requirement. Otherwise here is a gist of it. In compliance with US law, ClickBank will withhold payment of any account balance until the following criteria is met:

• Sales made with 5 or more different credit card numbers and

Unfortunately if there are no sales coming in 90 days after that last sale, then you can calculate for yourself when your Clickbank income in your Clickback account will run out if you do not satisfy the Clickbank dormant account requirements!!! If you are like most affiliates, your earnings will be slow initially but will build up over time as you work on your business.

If that is the case, then you would want to make your account always active as quickly as possible. Why build a good backlink strategy?

One other very good reason to build a good backlink strategy is to direct people to your website. When people browsed through websites of similar topic and they want to find out more about the topics which they are interested in and they see your link there. If the description of your link looks interesting to them, they may click on your link to bring them to your website that is supposed to provide them the information they are looking for. By this action, they have come to know about your website and at the same time hopefully find the information they are looking for. Hence it is a win-win situation for the searcher and you.

What happened for a backlink in the SEO process?

So what actually happened for a good backlink strategy in the SEO process is that search engines indexed the web pages and store them in a database. The order in which the search engines serve these pages back to the searcher are dependent upon the perceived relevance of the page to the search term used; and the quality of the site itself. The search engines use various pieces of information to determine this but the most important criteria are the volume, quality and nature of good backlinks to the site and to the specific domain.

What is the best way for a good backlink strategy?

One of the best way for a good backlink strategy is by writing great content that people automatically  want to link to. So basically the number of good backlinks to your site provides an indication on how popular or important your website is. A good backlink strategy is very important in SEO as some search engines like Google assigns more credits to websites that have a good number of good backlinks and consider those websites more relevant than others in their result pages when someone performs a search query. As such it is important for you to get quality backlinks but at the same time avoid doing unethical things through your good backlink strategy as these will get you into trouble with the search engines. I will explain about that later on.

When search engines calculate the relevance of a site to a keyword, they will consider the number of quality inbound links to that site. Hence, you should not be happy with just getting inbound links but instead you will have to ensure that you get inbound backlinks which are of a good quality. Given the same quantity of inbound links, it is the quality of the inbound backlink that really matters – not just inbound backlinks.

How is the quality of a backlink determined?

The quality of a backlink is determined by the search engine based on the content of the website. When you get inbound links to your site from other sites which have contents related to your site, these inbound links are considered more relevant to your site than inbound links on sites with unrelated contents. The higher the relevance of inbound links, the higher the quality will be assigned by the search engine.

Just imagine how you feel if you are browsing on a web site which is supposed to deal with weight loss and when you click on a link from that website, you get to a site which tells you how to improve the efficiency of a solar panel!!! That would not be relevant from the search engine’s view. Neither would it be from your view as a visitor who had click on this particular link on that site! However, it will be relevant if the backlink from the other website links to your site which has a topic about how exercise to lose weight quickly. The more relevant the topic is from site that is linking to your website, the better the quality of the backlink is. Search engines also want websites to have a level playing field. As such, it will look for natural links built slowly over time. This is why backlinks factor so highly into a search engine’s algorithm.

It is more difficult to influence a search engine with quality external backlinks from other websites but it is relatively easy to simply manipulate links on a web page to try to achieve a higher ranking. Due to the importance of backlinks, there are always people who try to achieve higher page rankings by building these inbound links through deceptive and sneaky methods.

Some of these methods include hidden links or automatically creating pages with the sole purpose of generating inbound links to their own websites. This method used to be very wide spread and is referred to as link farms. However when the search engines came to know about link farms and other unethical back linking practices, they impose even tougher criteria for defining quality inbound links to stop these unethical practices. Some search engines may even ban your web site entirely if you are caught linking to a link farm.

The characteristic that make up a good backlink strategy

As a summary, these are some the characteristics on what makes up a good quality backlink (in no particular order):

• Relevant site – the domain/site on which the link exists is relevant to your site. Both sites should have the appropriate and relevant content and appeals to the same target market.
• Relevant content – the editorial content of the page on which the link exists is relevant and similar to the content of your site’s destination page.
• The link is embedded in anchor text which uses a term for which you need to rank highly.
• The destination of the link is a page appropriate to the article, context and the anchor text used.
• Quality and reputation of the site – the domain/site is trustworthy, popular and well respected in its field. For example, non-commercial sites such as Wikipedia will always score higher than content aggregators and directories.
• The body text around the link and in the article in general uses keywords and phrases for which your site needs to rank highly.

So, with the knowledge of a good backlink strategy and what are the best ways of doing backlinks, you can then start manually do the backlinks to get the traffic to your website.

Tools to help you in building a good backlink strategy

However, there are always better ways of doing things. If you automate a manual process, you will be able to do that process much faster. In the traffic building process, getting a few backlinks is rarely sufficient for your site to rank well. In fact, you will need hundreds, if not thousands of backlinks in order to be able to rank highly on the first page of the SERP.

It is crazy and almost impracticable to backlinks manually. If you don’t believe me, do this exercise. Take down a piece of paper or create a spreadsheet and record down the total time it takes you to:

1. Search article directories
2. Sign up with those directories

Just try doing that for only 10 directories. Most people will find that just to do the 2 tasks for 10 directories may even take them from half a day to 1 day. However with automation I have signed up with over 2,000 directories in less than 1 hour! To stress my point, say you need to sign up 2,000 directories. How long would that take you? 1 month, 2 months, 3 months? (You can easily extrapolate your data from those 10 directories).

Okay, you have taken months to sign up those 2,000 directories. The next step is to submit articles to them. However before you can submit those articles to them, you will have to first write them! How long would it take you to write 2,000 articles? You can guess that yourself. I am assuming that it took you some more time : ). Now that you have finished those articles, you will then need to submit them to the directories. How long would that take you to manually do it? Some more time!

So you see, why I say it is madness and almost impossible to achieve a good backlink strategy if you were to do it manually? As such, in order to execute a good backlink strategy, you have no choice but to automate. The backlink process is a good candidate for automation because it is essentially a very manual repetitive process.

• Check Current Statistics – If your products happen to have a small profit margin or you have a low conversion rate on your current website then you need to address these areas first. Look at it this way, if you pay $0.50 a click for a $10 commission on a site with a 2% conversion rate, you will loose money. This is because for each $10 in sales, you’ll be paying $25 for it. Remember that a good campaign will boost those low conversions if you are going with these pay per click tips.
• Budgeting – The number one in PPC for a newbie is not having a set, well defined budget. Setting a well defined budget is important for a few reasons. When making your banner ad, first start by setting the canvas size. You can start with a set size such as 468×60, which is a fairly standard horizontal banner. However, there are any number of other sized ads that you can use, including block ads at 250,250 or long form ads at 60×960. Alternately, you can set the size at double or triple the dimensions so you have a higher resolution to start with. This will ensure that any high quality images scale down properly when uploaded to your site.
Once you’ve set up your canvas, you need to lay down a graphical base. A background can be simple, and monochrome or much more complex with a series of images. However, whatever you end up doing, make sure it is singular, doesn’t flash and doesn’t do anything else too fancy.

Most banner ads are almost entirely text. This is for good reason. You need potential visitors to get some information out of your ad. Unless you’re trying to setup a viral campaign or build a brand, image only banner ads will only confuse your readers and send them elsewhere. Images should be used to augment your text, not replace it.

Each Autoresponse Plus license can be installed on one domain and once installed, you will have unlimited autoresponders for that domain without the need to pay again.

The third autoresponder review I want to focus on is Get Response. Get Response is currently the industry leader and provides a very comparable service to Aweber. Get Response allows similiar easy level of customization as Aweber. You can attach documents, audio, or video, copy in messages from any format without extra formatting needed and ensure delivery on any day of the week through any email filters.

Seasoned autoresponder users often compared its tracking system Google Analytics. This is a good feature as its tracking system provides a wide array of details about message open rates, subscriptions and more. Get Response anticipated that this can get a bit complicated, so it has designed free tutorials to help its users.

It has a slightly better pricing than Aweber even though it does require a monthly payment of $18.00 to start (it can be lower with quarterly or annual payments).
